Martina Stangel-Meseke

Martina Stangel-Meseke (* 1963 in Bochum , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German psychologist . At the private University of Applied Sciences Business and Information Technology School in Iserlohn she works as dean of the business psychology department and vice dean for the master’s course of the same name.

Life

After graduating from high school, Martina Stangel-Meseke trained as a medical-technical laboratory assistant before studying psychology with a focus on industrial and organizational psychology as well as labor law at the Ruhr University in Bochum . Her dissertation was entitled Analysis and Psychological Foundation of the Concept of Key Qualifications - illustrated using the example of in-company vocational training . Between 1989 and 1993 she was a research assistant at Heinrich Wottawa at the Ruhr University, before moving to Hartmut Häcker's chair at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal in 1994 as a research assistant . During a substitute professorship at the University of Konstanz , she wrote a habilitation under the title “Changing the ability to learn in the context of innovative personnel development concepts - the modified learning potential using the example of the learning potential assessment center”.

Martina Stangel-Meseke is the managing partner of the management consultancy t-velopment , which she co-founded in 1999. Since 2004 she has been a lecturer for the then newly introduced Bachelor's degree in “Business Psychology” at BiTS Iserlohn, where she was appointed professor in 2005 . She is now the dean of the relevant department and, as head of the program, has set up a new master’s program. In 2008 she was appointed by the then Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Ursula von der Leyen, to a commission of experts that prepared the federal government's gender equality report.
