Marty Maynard is an American biathlete .
Marty Maynard lives in Rochester and works as a program manager. He initially played basketball , cross-country skiing and biathlon, later baseball replaced basketball. Today he also works as a baseball trainer, but has specialized in winter sports. In the 2008/09 season of the Biathlon NorAm Cup he was 41st in the overall standings, one season later 30th. His breakthrough came in the 2010/11 season . In Jericho he was able to finish second behind Jason Hettenbaugh in two sprints and a pursuit race and thus achieve podium places in the racing series for the first time.
