Lady Florence Mary Fagan KG , DCVO (born September 11, 1939 in Gonalston, Nottinghamshire ) is a British noblewoman .

Her maiden name is Florence Mary Vere-Laurie. She has been married since 1960 and has two sons, one of whom was killed in a car accident in 1987.

From 1994 to 2014 she was Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire . From 2006 to 2014 she was the Chancellor of the University of Winchester . She is a board member of several charitable foundations.

On June 13, 2009 she was elevated to the lower nobility as Dame Commander of the Royal Victorian Order and from then on carried the suffix " Lady ". On April 23, 2018, she was also accepted as a Lady Companion in the Order of the Garter and since then has had the higher-ranking name affix " Lady ".

She received several honorary military ranks and is therefore Rear Admiral of the Royal Naval Reserve , Colonel of the 457 Battery of the Royal Artillery , Colonel of the 78 (Fortress) Engineer Regiment (Volunteers) and Colonel of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (Volunteers) 4th Division .
