Mary Boio Fowler (born February 14, 2003 in Cairns , Queensland ) is an Australian football player who is mainly used in attack . Since 2020 she has played for the Montpellier HSC in Division 1 Féminine . She was the youngest nominated participant in the 2019 Women's World Cup .
Career
Career start
Fowler was first nominated for Australia's women's senior team in July 2018 . At the Tournament of Nations she was substituted on for her first international match in the 4th minute of stoppage time in a 3-1 win against Brazil . At 15 years and 162 days, she is the fifth youngest debutante on the Australian women's national team. This was followed by two more short appearances on the European tour in October 2018 against England and France , where she was substituted on for record goal scorer Lisa de Vanna . After another 15-minute match against record world champions USA on April 5, 2019, she was nominated for the 2019 World Cup on May 14, 2019 . She was the youngest nominated participant of the World Cup, but where she was not used. In between, she took part in the second qualifying round for the U-19 Asian Cup 2019 with the U-19 team at the end of April . She scored seven goals, including five in the 11-1 win over Nepal. Your team qualified with three wins and 18: 3 goals for the finals, which took place in Thailand in the fall . There she was used in five games, scored four goals and finished fourth with her team. For the 2019/20 season she moved to Adelaide United together with her sister Ciara and in February 2020 to the French first division Montpellier HSC .

Her father is from Ireland , her mother from Papua New Guinea . Her brother Quivi and sister Ciara, who were born in Ireland, have played for the Irish national teams.
