Mary Alison Glen-Haig (* July 12, 1918 in London as Mary Alison James , † November 15, 2014 ) was a British foil fencer .

successes

At the Olympic Games in 1948 , Glen Haig finished eighth in the foil singles. In 1950, Glen-Haig won bronze at the World Championships in Monte Carlo with the foil team, in the individual she was fourth. In the Olympic Games in 1952 , 1956 and 1960 she also took part, but did not take any rank.

Sports official

From 1946 to 1973, Mary Glen-Haig was President of the British Ladies Amateur Fencing Union . In 1982 she was elected to the International Olympic Committee , she was only the third woman on the committee.
