Marzell Oberneder
Marcellus Maximilian Oberneder (born June 3, 1891 in Kelheim , † August 2, 1985 ) was a German teacher, musician and local poet.
Career
Oberneder attended the teachers' seminar in Straubing , where he later also worked as a teacher. He was senior town school councilor and after 1945 also town cultural advisor. He directed the town's singing school and the song wreath and performed as an organizer of concerts. As a local writer, he devoted himself to folkloric and literary topics from his Lower Bavarian homeland. Among other things, he wrote the extensive "Chronicle of the Brothers of Mercy in Bavaria" ( Johannes von Gott -Verlag, Regensburg , 1970).
In the summer of 2011, his two daughters handed over their father's estate to the Straubing City Archives .
