Mas-Thibert is a district of the city of Arles in the French department of Bouches-du-Rhône . In 2006, 1393 people lived here.

location

Mas-Thibert is located 17 kilometers southeast of the city center of Arles on the left bank of the Rhône . The village is on the D 35, which leads to Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône . The village belongs to the canton of Arles-Est .

History and culture

The country used to belong to the Order of Malta . In the 1960s, numerous Harkis who had supported France in the Algerian war settled here.

The Saint-Honorat church was completed in 1899 and consecrated in 1900. It was built by the architect Henri Révoil . In 1995 a wooden cross of Jesus from the 14th century was found in the church.
