Masanori Takeishi ( Japanese 武 石 正 憲 , Takeishi Masanori ; * 1950 ) is a Japanese amateur astronomer and asteroid explorer. From 1975 to 1993 he was the editor-in-chief of the Japan Astronomical Circular .
He lives in Hamatonbetsu (formerly part of Esashi ) in Esashi County, after which he named the asteroids (5468) Hamatonbetsu and (9368) Esashi .
Between 1988 and 1993 he discovered a total of 13 asteroids together with Masaru Mukai .
The asteroid (7776) Takeishi was named after him.
