Masao Yamakawa

Masao Yamakawa ( Japanese 山川 方 夫 , Yamakawa Masao ; born February 25, 1930 in the Shitaya district, today: Taitō , Tokyo Prefecture ; † February 20, 1965 ) was a Japanese writer.

Yamakawa was editor of the literary journal Mita Bungaku . As a writer, he became known in 1957 with Hibi no shi ("death in everyday life"). In 1964 the novels Kaigan kōen and Ai no gotoku appeared . Yamakawa was killed in a traffic accident in 1965.
