Masaru Hirayama ( Japanese 平 山 大 , Hirayama Masaru ; born June 3, 1972 in Fukui Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Hirayama learned to play football in the university team of Chūō University . He signed his first contract with Nagoya Grampus Eight in 1995 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1995 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . For the club he completed 16 first division games. In 1997 he moved to the second division side Kawasaki Frontale . In 1998 he was runner-up in the Japan Football League with the club . At the end of 1998 he ended his career as a football player.
