The Hammersbachtal nature reserve northeast of Westgartshausen is in the area of ​​the city of Crailsheim in the Schwäbisch Hall district in Baden-Württemberg .

It is a "scenic valley that stands with its moist valley floor with typical wet and floodplain vegetation in ecologically and scenically valuable contrast to the dry heathland on the slopes". The area includes alder forests in the floodplain area, large sedge and culturally and historically significant, heather-like valley slopes created by sheep grazing.
