The nature reserve Kochertal between Westheim and Steinbach including Klingenbach as well as Geiß- and Eselsklinge lies on the territory of the communities Michelbach an der Bilz and Rosengarten and the city of Schwäbisch Hall in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Württemberg .

location

The area extends about ten kilometers west of the core town of Michelbach an der Bilz along the Kocher , which passes through the wide loops of its notched and notched valley in the Upper Muschelkalk, past old valley terraces and surrounding mountains, and also includes lower valley sections of some tributaries. The upper part of the valley is crossed by a county road, at the very bottom another county road runs from Tullau , otherwise there are only farm roads in the valley, some of which end on steep slopes and in front of damp valley meadows.
