List of nature reserves in the Schwäbisch Hall district

In the district of Schwäbisch Hall there are 18 nature reserves . The Stuttgart Regional Council is responsible for the designation of nature reserves . According to the protected area statistics of the State Institute for the Environment, Measurements and Nature Conservation Baden-Württemberg (LUBW), 1,383.29 hectares are under nature protection in the district, which is 0.93 percent of the area.

Open, attractive, mostly agriculturally used floodplain with diverse flora and fauna, locally important breeding and resting area for endangered and protected bird species; often very steep, mostly wooded valley slopes and blades with z. T. very rare species in need of protection; The return of agriculturally used arable land in the valley floodplain of the Kocher in grassland and the conversion of non-site-appropriate conifer populations into near-natural, site-appropriate mixed deciduous forests are aimed for.
