List of nature reserves in the Rems-Murr district

In the Rems-Murr district , there are 26 nature reserves. The Stuttgart Regional Council is responsible for the designation of nature reserves . According to the protected area statistics of the State Institute for the Environment, Measurements and Nature Conservation Baden-Württemberg (LUBW), 833.36 hectares of the district are under nature protection, that is 0.97 percent.

Plüderhausen Raised
hilltop in the Stubensandstein (405 m above sea level). On the south-western slope side, there is a loose pine forest, mixed with individual junipers. On the other sides of the slope, as well as partly on the hilltop, there is a mixed deciduous forest in which a whistle grass has developed in lighter places. The floristic wealth of the small area is particularly remarkable for the Keuper Hills.

Murrhardt
Natural gorge forest with impressive cliffs. Beech-fir forest with forest fescue on the plateau. Landslides through the spring horizon at the border between the Lias and the marl. The parlor sandstone under the marl forms rock niches with overhanging sandstone roofs. Waterfall banks. The steep Stubensandstein slopes bear old beech and fir trees in the blades, mixed with spruce, and pine trees on the dry ridges; Bannwald (LWaldG § 32).
