Typical, culturally and historically used landscape on a steep, south-facing Neckar slope, characterized by a small-scale mosaic of warmth-loving bushes, lean meadows, semi-arid and dry grassland, orchards and a richly structured forest border. The high diversity of habitats results in a very diverse flora and fauna. The well-preserved old vineyard walls, which are abundant in the area and are more than 5.2 km long, are particularly unique. Numerous reading stone bars have reached a considerable size of up to 50 m in length and 10 m in width.
