List of nature reserves in the Freudenstadt district
In the district of Freudenstadt there are 18 nature reserves. The Karlsruhe Regional Council is responsible for the designation of nature reserves . According to the protected area statistics of the State Institute for the Environment, Measurements and Nature Conservation Baden-Württemberg (LUBW), 1,205.60 hectares of the district are under nature protection, that is 1.38 percent.

Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach Un-silted Karsee in the western Black Forest in the area of the Middle Buntsandstein. On the over 100 m high and steep, partly rocky slopes spruce forest with z. T. primeval forest-like character; mixed fir forest on less steep slopes. Rich communities of moss and lichen on the rocks, which are partly trickled over, and on the stone blocks of the slopes. |
