The sandy-loamy soils (predominantly eutrophic brown soils) are very humus and are among the richest in nutrients in the crystalline black forest. The entire area is planted with montane beech and fir forest in various ecological forms. The slope on the sunny side is characterized by extensive grass fescue. The holly grows on the lower slope, which is bound to an Atlantic-toned climate. The ground vegetation on the shady eastern slope is formed by signs of freshness such as balsam, witchweed and various types of fern. Movable rock debris has accumulated in the fresh slope channel in the eastern part of the area. The more humid the lower part of the channel, the more the maple is represented in the tree layer. The pendulum sedge, the antiperspirant milkweed and the forest ziest grow in the soil layer; Bannwald (LWaldG § 32). |
