List of nature reserves in the Tübingen district

In the district of Tübingen , there are 22 nature reserves. The Tübingen regional council is responsible for designating nature reserves . According to the protected area statistics of the State Institute for the Environment, Measurements and Nature Conservation Baden-Württemberg (LUBW), 1,193.76 hectares of the district are under nature protection, which is 2.30 percent.

Dettenhausen

Scenic stream valley in Schönbuch with open, richly structured floodplain; Small-scale alternation of meadows and fallow land with streams accompanied by trees, surrounded by forest slopes with spring streams and fragments of gorge forest; through careful management, the forest stands included should be returned to mixed forest in a natural and location-appropriate manner. The Schaichtal is part of the Schönbuch Nature Park and extends over four districts (Tübingen, Reutlingen, Esslingen and Böblingen) in two administrative districts.

Bodelshausen
Flat grassland area with fresh, wet and wet meadow mosaic on astonishingly wet Opalinus clays of the Brown Jura in the southwestern Alb foreland east of Bodelshausen, which are a rarity in the LK Tübingen in this form and size. Small parts of the area are used for agriculture or are reforested with spruce and poplar. Globeflowers are abundant in wet and humid meadows.
