The Winterhalde is a nature reserve designated by the Tübingen Regional Council of May 8, 1999 with the number 4.293.
location
The approximately 54 hectare Winterhalde nature reserve is located in the west of Hechingen in Baden-Württemberg , Germany . The nature reserve has parts of the municipalities of Hechingen ( Bechtoldsweiler and Stein ) in the Zollernalbkreis and Bodelshausen in the Tübingen district and is part of the Southwestern Alb foreland . In the southeast, it meets the Sickinger Steige, which separates it from the neighboring Lauchhalde partner conservation area . The area is in the small side valley of the Winterhaldenbach on the right side of the Starzeltal and is with the slopes at an altitude of 460 m above sea level. NN - 535 m above sea level NN . A rough breakdown is made in upper slope areas with larger shrub zones and woody plants. In the middle area, the species-rich field trees alternate with open, extensively cultivated green areas. In the lower elevations, there are globeflower and sage oat meadows as well as individual small-scale areas with sedges, rushes, tall shrubs or semi-arid grass . In the south there are orchards .
Flora Fauna
In the area of the winter heap, a total of over 300 plant species have been identified, including felt sedge , globe flower, strawberry clover , several orchids, the bulbous sparrow and grape hyacinth .
The long-winged swordfish is just one of 20 species of locusts in the valley. Butterflies are represented with over 30 species, including the quail wheat butterfly , the small kingfisher and the great blue sunflower . In the airspace continue Beautiful Demoiselle , turncoat and backed Shrike found.
Protection purpose
The protection purpose includes the conservation of the mosaic-like structures and the interlocking of the various types of biotope as a retreat for endangered species and the preservation of biodiversity. This includes the protection of the special locations as well as the protection, maintenance and care of hillside areas, field trees, grassland areas and orchards.
