Owinger Bühl is a designated nature reserve with the number 4.131 by ordinance of the Tübingen regional council of November 15, 1985 .
location
The nature reserve is located in the natural area of the southwestern Alb foreland . It is located on the slope of the Eyach valley 500 meters east of the Owingen district of the city of Haigerloch . It is part of the FFH area No. 7619-311 areas between Bisingen, Haigerloch and Rosenfeld .
Protection purpose
According to the ordinance, the main protection purpose is the maintenance and improvement of a cherry tree-juniper heather as a semi-arid grassland community with numerous protected and endangered animal and plant species.
Flora and fauna
The plant species Herbst-Drehwurz , German fringed gentian and common fringed gentian occur in the area. Bird species are represented: wryneck , red-backed shrike , great gray shrike and willow tit .
