Breilried is a nature reserve designated by the Tübingen Regional Council of May 26, 1981 with the number 4.089.
location
The nature reserve is located in the Obere Gäue natural area . It is located about 1000 meters southeast of the Trillfingen district of the city of Haigerloch and 100 meters south of the Salenhofweiher nature reserve . It is part of the FFH area No. 7619-311 areas between Bisingen, Haigerloch and Rosenfeld .
Protection purpose
According to the regulation, the essential purpose of protection is to preserve in a Gipskeuper - sinkhole caused Ried with its typical animal and plant communities as well as the preservation of the forest historically extremely significant peat deposits.
flora
The area is particularly worthy of protection because of the rich occurrence of the thread sedge . In the Neckarland and Alb foreland, this type of sediment can only be found in very few locations.
