The Nature Reserve Heimberg with a size of 32.93  ha is in the area of the city Meßstetten just north of the hamlet Unterdigisheim in the valley of the Upper Bara in Tübingen . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) on November 6, 1987 .

Protection purpose

The protection purpose is the preservation and further development of the juniper heaths, the rough meadows, the wetlands and the succession areas as a habitat for numerous animal and plant species threatened with extinction.
