The Zollerhalde nature reserve is located on the western slope of the Zoller in the municipality of Bisingen in the Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg . It was designated in 1993 by the Tübingen regional council.
location
The area extends northeast of the core town of Bisingen and east of Zimmer , a suburb of Bisingen. The B 27 runs north , not far to the east is Hohenzollern Castle . The area lies in the natural area of the southwestern Alb foreland and in the geological unit of the Middle Jurassic .
Protection purpose
According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the protection purpose is:
- "The protection of a diverse structured landscape at the foot of the Zollerberg with the associated extensive agricultural and forestry use as a habitat for endangered and protected plant and animal species;
- the preservation of the landscape-defining beauty of the area as a culturally and historically significant area in which the history of use of this region can be proven;
- the optimization and further development of this area. "
Flora and fauna
So far 325 plant species have been identified at the Zollerhalde, including the summer honeysuckle ( Adonis aestivalis ), the upright orchid ( Orchis mascula ) and the globe flower ( Trollius europaeus ).
Furthermore, 208 species of butterflies, including the red privet owl ( Polyphaenis sericata ) and the quendel ant blue ( Maculinea arion ), as well as numerous other animal species, such as the longhorn beetle Oncomera femorata or the pitch black wallpaper spider ( Atypus piceus ), were detected in the area.
Contiguous protected areas
The Zollerhalde nature reserve is part of the FFH area between Bisingen, Haigerloch and Rosenfeld and the bird reserve Südwestalb and Upper Danube Valley . The nature reserve Oberes Starzeltal and Zollerberg connects to the north, east and south . A linden tree on the Zoller driveway is also registered as a natural monument.
