The Oberberg-Köpfle area is a nature reserve in the area of the city of Burladingen in the Zollernalb district that was declared by the Tübingen regional council on September 9, 1991 by ordinance . It is part of the FFH area Reichenbach and Killertal between Hechingen and Burladingen .
location
The Oberberg-Köpfle nature reserve is located about 700 m northwest of Burladingen. The area belongs to the Middle Kuppenalb natural area .
Protection purpose
According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is “the preservation, maintenance and further development of a mountain slope typical of the landscape of the Swabian Alb. In particular, the high-quality juniper heath that characterizes the landscape, as well as the adjacent forest areas and extensive meadows with their equally rich and in some cases endangered flora and fauna, should be protected. "
Landscape character
The nature reserve includes the southern slope of the Upper Mountain, which is covered by juniper heather on the lower slope and woodruff beech forest on the upper slope . At the foot of the slope, the juniper heaths merge into lean lowland hay meadows.
