List of nature reserves in the Ravensburg district

In the district of Ravensburg there are 75 nature reserves. The Tübingen regional council is responsible for designating nature reserves . According to the protected area statistics of the State Agency for the Environment, Measurements and Nature Conservation Baden-Württemberg (LUBW), 6340.95 hectares of the district are under nature protection, that is 3.89 percent.

Bad Wurzach
The Wurzach tongue basin was excavated by the Rhine foreland glacier during the Mild Ice Age. The reed was formed from a Worm Ice Age glacier reservoir with an outlet near Wurzach. Today the water from the surrounding moraine hills collects in the Haidgau spring pots and at Dietmanns, creating spring lakes surrounded by limestone bogs and other limestone-dependent plant communities. The Haidgauer Ried and the Alberser Ried are high moor shields, planted with mountain pines; partly open raised bog ceilings; Breeding and resting area for numerous bird species.
