The Dolpenried area is a nature reserve (NSG number 4.038) in the area of the communities of Altshausen and Wolpertswende in the Ravensburg district in Baden-Württemberg , Germany, designated by ordinance of June 22, 1966 by the Regional Council of South Württemberg-Hohenzollern . It is described as a small mountain pine - raised bog with transition bog on pitted areas, blind lake and swinging lawn .

The approximately 57 hectare large nature reserve Dolpenried is one natural area to Upper Swabian hills . It is part of the Blitzenreuter Lake District about 4½ kilometers southeast of Altshausen and two kilometers northwest of Wolpertswende, between the Stuben district of Altshausen and the hamlet of Bruggen, which belongs to Wolpertswende , at an altitude of 574 to 580 m above sea level. Flora and fauna

Among the flora worthy of protection are the following plant species :
- Ash willow ( Salix cinerea ), also known as gray willow , from the willow family
- Mountain pine ( Pinus mugo ), a diverse species of plant from the pine family
- Rush ( Scheuchzeria palustris ), the only species in the rush family
- Common cranberry ( Vaccinium oxycoccos ), a member of the heather family
- Pipe grass ( Molinia ), a genus of plants in the sweet grass family
- Mud sedge ( Carex limosa ), a declining species of the sour grass family
- Meadow quail wheat ( Melampyrum pratense ), a representative of the summer root family
