The Blauensee area is a nature reserve (NSG number 4.045) in the southeast of the Baden-Württemberg community of Waldburg in the district of Ravensburg in Germany, which was designated by ordinance of February 20, 1970 of the regional council of South Württemberg-Hohenzollern .
Location and description
The 30 hectare large nature reserve Blauensee is located at the junction of natural areas Upper Swabian hills and Westallgäuer hills . It is about 1.5 kilometers southeast of the center of Waldburg at an altitude of around 663 m above sea level. NN and essentially comprises a silted-up lake, which is in the flat moor stage, has already reached the intermediate moor stage in places , and flora that is rich in terms of the diversity of the landscape . The southwestern part of the reserve borders on the Scheibensee nature reserve .
The entire area is drained through the Edensbach and over the Haslach into the Untere Argen .
