The Neuhauser Moos-Mollenweiher area is a nature reserve (NSG number 4.149) in the southeast of the municipality of Vogt in the Ravensburg district in Baden-Württemberg , Germany, designated by the regulation of January 12, 1989 of the Tübingen regional council .
Location and description
The 26 hectare large nature reserve Neuhauser Moss minor Weiher is one natural area to Westallgäuer hills . It is located about 1.7 kilometers southeast of the center of Vogter at an altitude of about 670 m above sea level. NN . The area consists of three individual moors : the Stocker Moos , the Neuhauser Moos and the completely silted Mollenweiher . Trenches and rails as well as some small ponds indicate the former peat extraction.
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation and partial restoration of the area as a particularly richly structured complex of different wetland and bog types and thus as a habitat for the fauna and flora that depend on them.
Flora and fauna

From the flora worthy of protection , the following plant species (selection) are to be named:
- Mountain pine ( Pinus mugo )
- Mehlprimel or floury cowslip ( Primula farinosa )
- Downy birch ( Betula pubescens ), also known as hair - broom - or Hairy Birch referred
- Rostred Kopfried ( Schoenus ferrugineus )
fauna
The former peat cuttings that are widespread in the area serve as a habitat for various amphibian and dragonfly species . Almost all the characteristic grasshopper species of the wetlands of the Alpine foothills are also represented in the nature reserve.
