The Dietenberger Weiher area is a nature reserve (NSG number 4.062) in the south of the municipality of Waldburg in the Ravensburg district in Baden-Wuerttemberg , Germany, designated by the ordinance of December 21, 1973 of the Tübingen regional council .
Location and description
The 3.3 hectare Dietenberger Weiher nature reserve is part of the Upper Swabian hill country. It is located about one kilometer south of the center of Waldburg at an altitude of around 679 m above sea level. NN and essentially comprises the pond that was created in a former dead ice hole and is now almost completely silted up .
Flora and fauna

Among the flora worthy of protection are the following types of plants (selection):
- Mountain pine ( Pinus mugo ), from the pine family
- Burning buttercup ( Ranunculus flammula ), a species of the buttercup family
- Fever clover or bitter clover ( Menyanthes trifoliata ), the only species of the genus Menyanthes in the fever clover family
- Rosemary heather ( Andromeda polifolia ), also lavender heather , from the heather family
- Floating pondweed ( Potamogeton natans ), a common species of aquatic plants in the pondweed family
- Marsh blood-eye ( Potentilla palustris ), from the rose family
- Marsh violets ( Viola palustris ), a member of the violet family
fauna
Ten dragonfly species living here have been recorded.
