The Schächele is a nature reserve designated by the Tübingen regional council on March 23, 1981 by ordinance in the area of ​​the city of Isny im Allgäu in the Ravensburg district .

location

The Schächele is located on the eastern outskirts of the city of Isny ​​im Allgäu between the core city and the Kleinhaslach district . The area is part of the natural environment Westallgäuer hills .

Protection purpose

According to the ordinance, the protection purpose is "the preservation of the natural and scenic source area of ​​the Isnyer Ach with the associated fen as a habitat for the rare plant and animal species that occur here."

Landscape character

The area is characterized by meadow grass litter , Kleinseggenriede and spring lakes . The Isnyer Ach rises in this area. A special feature is the largely intact population of the Pyrenean spoonweed (Cratoneuro-cochlearicum).

Flora and fauna

The notable species in the area include the marsh stendrums , the swallowweed gentian , the spring gentian , the flour primrose , the common lily , the butterwort and the Pyrenean spoonbill .
