Buildings
The Catholic Church of St. Stephan is the landmark of Gottenheim that can be seen from afar. In it u. a. famous portrait of the Gottenheim side altar created by Johannes Cahn in 1892. It shows how St. Gallus preaches the word of God on Lake Constance.
Green spaces and recreation
Gottenheim has a well-preserved "old vineyard" that was not "land-cleared" like many other vineyards in the 1960s and 1970s. There are many typical small terraces, narrow field paths and hidden embankment paths that have been “grown” by hand. For example, more than 100 of the so-called “Rebhisli” (vineyard huts) are on the Rebhisli tour in the old “Gottemer Rebberg”.
Regular events
- The Gottenheim Wine and Street Festival (traditionally also "Hahlerai Festival") takes place every two years in early September. It is a cozy street festival in lovingly decorated arbours and wine-growing yards.
- The annual concert of the Gottenheim Music Association at the beginning of the year is the musical highlight of the year in Gottenheim. Under the direction of conductor Andreas Thoman, the Musikverein performs demanding brass music.
- The Gottenheimer "Rebhisli Tour": The Gottenheim winegrowers 'cooperative and the Gottenheim winery Thomas Maurer as well as the neighboring Waltershofen winegrowers' cooperative organize the Gottemer Rebhisli tour together every year on "Ascension Day" and "Father's Day".
