Ebnet is a nature reserve in the Kaiserstuhl in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district in Baden-Württemberg . It is a typical example of the previously widespread cultural landscape of the Kaiserstuhl that was created through extensive use , with a great diversity of species.

geography

The nature reserve in the Kaiserstuhl natural area is located in the area of ​​the town and municipality of Vogtsburg im Kaiserstuhl , between the districts of Achkarren and Oberrotweil . It is located in the Oberrotweil district about one kilometer south of Oberrotweil and one kilometer north of Achkarren between the Steingrubenberg and the Schneckenberg at about 270  m above sea level. NHN . The area extends partly on a steep slope to the top of the Ellenbuch valley.

Characteristics

The area was designated as a nature reserve by ordinance on November 11, 1985 and is listed under the protected area number 3.152 at the Freiburg Regional Council. It has an area of ​​1.5 hectares and is classified in IUCN Category IV, a biotope and species protection area. The WDPA ID is 162837 and corresponds to the European CDDA code and the EUNIS number.

The purpose of protection "is to preserve the area typical of the cultural landscape of the Kaiserstuhl that has been brought over in its entirety, with a variety of animal and plant communities to which numerous rare and endangered species belong."

Flora and fauna

The small nature reserve is home to a large number of biotopes , including semi- arid grassland and bush forest with the associated fringe communities . Many protected animal and plant species can be found here. The occurrence of the orchid Violet Dingel ( Limodorum abortivum ), which only thrives in a few places in Germany, should be emphasized .
