The Ohrberg nature reserve is located in the municipality of Vogtsburg in the Kaiserstuhl in Baden-Württemberg .
Characteristics
The area was designated as a nature reserve under the protection area number 3096 by ordinance of the Freiburg Regional Council of December 16, 1976. This ordinance came into force on December 30, 1976 when it was published in the Law Gazette for Baden-Württemberg. The CDDA code is 82280 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .
location
The reserve is located east of the Vogtsburg hamlet of Schelingen directly on the K 4976 district road. The nature reserves 3104- Scheibenbuck-Bluttenbuck and 3169- Haselschacher Buck are in the immediate vicinity . It belongs completely to the FFH area No. 7911-341 Kaiserstuhl as well as to the bird sanctuary of the same name No. 7912-442 Kaiserstuhl and also to the Southern Black Forest Nature Park . It is located in the natural area 203- Kaiserstuhl within the natural spatial main unit 20- Southern Upper Rhine Lowland .
Protection purpose
According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is the preservation of the Ohrberg, in particular its south-west, south and south-east slopes with their geological outcrops, which are internationally significant as a study and research object, and their species-rich societies, rarely partly endangered plant and animal species.
