List of natural spatial units in Baden-Württemberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of the natural spatial units in Baden-Württemberg reflects the natural spatial structure of the higher order, as far as the higher units are wholly or partly in the area of Baden-Württemberg . It is based on the natural spatial structure for Germany, as it was made in the 1950s and presented in the manual of the natural spatial structure of Germany by the Federal Institute for Regional Studies under the direction of Emil Meynen , taken from the official description of districts and municipalities for this federal state .

The two-digit numbers in front represent each main unit group, the three-digit each subordinate main unit . There are also decimal places (15 → 150 → 150.0 → 150.02), which are not listed here, but only in the articles for the main units (groups).

The Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) created a new structure in 1994, which, however, only affects the main unit groups - and not lower levels. This differs from the classification according to Meynen mostly only through a changed code number (the Swabian Alb has, for example, the number D60 instead of 09). Only in the Upper Rhine Graben were several main unit groups according to Meynen (20-23) combined into a new one (D53) as far as BW was concerned.
The new code numbers D01-D69 are each in square brackets after the name of the main unit group.

In the main units and the even lower units, the BfN is still based on the Meynen code numbers.

The State Institute for the Environment, Measurements and Nature Conservation Baden-Württemberg also sorts its natural area profiles according to the main units according to Meynen.

Many of the listed units are cross-border and accordingly continue in neighboring federal states.

The first three of the five digits each stand for the associated main unit according to Meynen , the last two are consecutively numbered - they usually combine several decimal places according to Meynen. Metropolitan areas are excluded from the system described and each have three-digit numbers. @1@ 2Template: Webachiv / IABot / www.bfn.de
