Böllen ( Alemannisch Bölle ) is a municipality in the northeast of the district of Lörrach , Baden-Württemberg . She is a member of the community administration association Schönau in the Black Forest . With 100 inhabitants, Böllen is the smallest municipality in Baden-Württemberg.

The municipality of Böllen is 600 to 1320 meters above sea level in the Böllenbachtal, a side valley of the Wiesental on the southeast slope of the Belchen .

Neighboring communities

Neighboring communities are the city of Schönau in the Black Forest and the communities of Schönenberg , Fröhnd and Kleines Wiesental .

The municipality of Böllen includes the village of Oberböllen, the Zinken Niederböllen and the Haidflüh estate.

Municipal council

The municipal council in Böllen has eight members. It consists of the voluntary councilors and the mayor as chairman. The mayor is entitled to vote in the municipal council. In the local elections on May 26, 2019, the local council was elected by majority vote. Majority voting takes place if no or only one nomination has been submitted. The applicants with the highest number of votes are then elected. The turnout was 84.5% (2014: 77.1%).

Bruno Kiefer was confirmed in his honorary office in the mayoral election on November 6, 2016. The turnout was 79.2%, with Kiefer being chosen by 58 of the 61 voters.

The municipality was granted the right to use a coat of arms in a document from the Baden Minister of the Interior in 1902. The coat of arms symbolizes the Belchen , the second highest mountain in the Black Forest above the Wiesental (green shield base ).

Sports

The Tug of War Club Tauziehfreunde Böllen e. V. is home to, which in addition to several German championships won the runner-up world championship in 2002.
