The Bodenbachschlucht nature reserve is located in the municipality of Spiegelberg in Baden-Württemberg .

Characteristics

The area was designated as a nature reserve under the protection area number 1081 by ordinance of the Stuttgart regional council of December 8, 1979. The CDDA code is 81430 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

location

The protected area is about 1.2 kilometers south of Wüstenrot and 2.5 kilometers northeast of Spiegelberg. It is located in the natural area 108 - Swabian-Franconian forest mountains within the natural spatial main unit 10 - Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the impressive parlor sandstone blade in the Löwenstein Mountains with a rare fern and moss flora.
