Masato Morishige ( Japanese 森 重 真人 , Morishige Masato ; born May 21, 1987 in Hiroshima ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

society

Masato Morishige learned to play football in the youth teams of Hiroshima Koyo FC and Sanfrecce Hiroshima as well as in the school team of the Hiroshima Minami High School . He signed his first contract with Ōita Trinita in 2006 . The club from Ōita , a port city in Ōita prefecture on the island of Kyushu , played in the first division, the J1 League . At the end of 2009 he had to start the path to the second division with the club. Masato Morishige left the club and joined the first division club FC Tokyo in early 2010 . A year later he had to relegate to the second division with FC Tokyo. In 2011 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose straight back to the top division. In the same year he won the Kaiser Cup with FC . In the final they defeated Kyōto Sanga 4-2. In 2019 he was runner-up with the club.

National team

In 2013, Morishige made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team . With the Japanese national team, he qualified for the 2014 World Cup . Morishige played 42 international matches, scoring 2 goals.
