Masch (son of Aram)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Masch ( Hebrew מַשׁ, also: Mosch or Mas ) is according to the Old Testament the youngest son of Aram ( Gen 10.23  EU ), here it says:

The sons of Aram are Uz , Hul , Geter and Masch.

Masch supposedly settled the Tur Abdin , who was called Turo d-Mosch by the ancient Aramaeans . Today's Aramaeans in Tur Abdin are derived from the descendants of Mosch. The muski have been recorded in the Tur Abdin since the Middle Assyrian period .
