Maso Finiguerra
Maso Finiguerra (March 1426 in Florence , † December 4, 1464 ibid) was an Italian goldsmith during the Renaissance .
Life
Finiguerra learned the craft from his father Antonio Finiguerra and became the most famous niello artist of his time. Giorgio Vasari also attributed the invention of copperplate engraving to him. This was certainly not the case, but Finiguerra was one of the first Italians to use this art.
