Massimo Codol
Massimo Codol (born February 27, 1973 in Lecco ) is a former Italian cyclist .
Massimo Codol began his career in 1998 with the Mapei-Bricobi cycling team . After only one year he switched to Lampre-Daikin , where he won a stage in the Tour of the Basque Country and the Japan Cup in 2000 . In 2003 he moved to Mercatone Uno , Marco Pantani's team . At the Giro d'Italia , he finished 15th in the overall standings, his best result there. His captain Pantani was only one rank higher. In 2005 he won a stage at the Settimana Internazionale .
