Massimo Ferrari (philosopher)

Massimo Ferrari (born September 11, 1954 in Gressoney-Saint-Jean , Aosta Valley region ) is an Italian philosopher and university professor .

Ferrari studied philosophy at the State University of Milan with Mario Dal Pra . He was a fellow at the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Storici and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation . After initially teaching at the University of L'Aquila , he has been a full professor of the history of philosophy at the University of Turin since 2005 . His main areas of work include German and Italian philosophy in the 19th and 20th centuries, especially Neo-Kantianism , logical empiricism and phenomenology .
