Master Airways ( Serbian : Мастер Ервејз) was a Serbian airline based in Niš .
history
Due to the separation of Montenegro on June 3, 2006 from the international community of Serbia and Montenegro , Montenegro Airlines was no longer able to operate the profitable routes from Belgrade . However, in order to remain active on the Serbian market, the subsidiary Master Airways was founded in 2006 . This took over a Fokker 100 from the parent company and began flight operations on behalf of Montenegro Airlines on April 6, 2006 from Belgrade to Zurich . In 2007 the airline was involved in a corruption scandal in Montenegro together with Montenegro Airlines. Shortly afterwards, the airline was dissolved and the only aircraft came back into the parent company's fleet.
On December 26, 2009, Montenegro Airlines had agreed with the Serbian city of Niš to operate the air traffic between Podgorica (TGD) and Niš (INI). Accordingly, Master Airways should be reactivated at the beginning of the 2010 summer flight schedule (March 28, 2010).
It was previously announced that Montenegro Airlines would operate the Niš-Zurich route. However, the Swiss authorities refuse the necessary air traffic rights for this, as Montenegro Airlines is an airline that may operate flights between Montenegro and Switzerland under the "Single European Sky" agreement, but not between third countries and Switzerland.
Should Master Airways be revived, such problems would be a thing of the past.
Destinations
The planned destinations of the independent airline were Paris , Frankfurt , Podgorica , Tivat , Belgrade , Niš and Zurich . But apart from a few flights for Montenegro Airlines , there were no other flights.
fleet
The only machine that flew in the airline's full livery was a Fokker 100 (YU-AOM) provided by Montenegro Airlines .
