Mastos painter
The Mastos painter was a provisional names designated Attic vase painter of the black-figure style towards the end of the 6th century. Chr.
The mastos painter was named after a mastos he painted ( mastos , Greek for breast , as the bowl-shaped vessel has the shape of a female breast) from the antique collection of the Martin von Wagner Museum in Würzburg . The Mastos painter belongs to a group of later black-figure vase painters who mainly decorated neck amphoras , abdominal amphorae of a newer type ( type A ), hydria and eye cups and whose most famous representative was the Andokides painter .
