Matías Castro , full name Matías Gastón Castro , (born December 18, 1991 in Neuquén ) is an Argentine football player .
Career
The 1.82-meter-tall offensive player Castro was at the beginning of his career since the 2007/08 season in the ranks of the Argentine club CAI Comodoro Rivadavia . That season he was used in two games (no goal) of the Primera B Nacional. This was followed by seven appearances in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons, where he scored two goals in the latter season. In Argentino A, he also scored twice in the opposing goal in the 2011/12 season. In early July 2012 it joined El Porvenir . A year later he moved to Defensores de Cambaceres . He has been under contract with Uruguayan first division club Danubio FC since August 2014 . In the 2014/15 season, he played 27 times (nine goals) in the Primera División , twice (one goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 and six times (one goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2015 . At the beginning of July 2015, he moved to Unión de Santa Fe . There he played five league games (no goal). At the beginning of 2016 he was loaned to the Chilean club Unión La Calera , for which he appeared five times (one goal) in the league. In mid-July 2016, he also switched to Uruguayan first division promoted Villa Española on loan . In the 2016 season he was used in nine league games (no goal). His club was relegated at the end of the season. At the beginning of January 2017, CD San Marcos de Arica signed him . So far (as of February 12, 2017) he made two appearances (no goal) in Primera B with the Chileans.
