The material ropeway of HeidelbergCement AG, here on the Nußloch district

The Leimen – Nußloch material ropeway is a little over five kilometers long Lorenseilbahn operated by HeidelbergCement AG in Baden-Württemberg . It leads from the company's own limestone quarry in the neighboring municipality of Nussloch to the south to the cement works at the company's production site in Leimen . Special features of the facility, in addition to the unusual length, are the overland section between the two places and a 60-degree curve in Nussloch, where the tilting lorries run on rails. The cable of the cable car is 11,600 meters long and weighs 20 tons.

The facility was built in 1918. Before that, the material had been transported for a number of years on special freight trams on the Heidelberg – Wiesloch electric tram, which runs largely in parallel .

Due to its great importance for Nußloch, the association "Materialseilbahnfreunde Nußloch e.V." founded.
