Mathew Nkhuwa

Mathew Nkhuwa (born January 24, 1954 ) is a Zambian politician of the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Nkhuwa was employed as a car mechanic after training. He also completed a degree in project management , which he completed with a Bachelor of Arts (BA Project Management), and then worked as an engineer. In the election on August 11, 2016, he was elected for the first time as a member of the National Assembly of Zambia as a candidate of the Patriotic Front (PF) and represents the constituency of Chingola . After he was then a member of the Committee on Legal and Governmental Affairs, Human Rights, Equal Rights and Children's Affairs of the National Assembly, he was appointed Minister for Public Works and Utilities by President Edgar Lungu in October 2016 in his cabinet . He was the successor to Ronald Kaoma Chitotela , who in turn took over the office of Minister for Housing and Infrastructure Development.
