Mathias Dockner

Mathias Dockner (born August 24, 1984 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian basketball player .

Career as a basketball player

The 2.04-meter-tall wing and inside player from Vienna moved from BC Basket Clubs of Vienna to UBC Mattersburg in the Bundesliga in 2002 . In 2004 he moved to Arkadia Traiskirchen within the league before moving to North America for a year. Dockner played for the University of British Columbia in Canada in the 2005-06 season . After returning to his home country, Dockner rejoined the BC Basket Clubs of Vienna in 2006 (at the time just promoted to the Bundesliga). There he triumphed in particular in the 2007/08 season, when he scored an average of 18 points and 5.9 rebounds per encounter. In 2009 he went from Vienna to St. Pölten and played for the local UBC for a year .

National team

With the senior national team he took part in the European B championships in 2005 and 2009.

education

From 2003 Mathias Dockner studied international business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and graduated in 2009 with a master's degree. He later headed the HR department at the consulting agency Henley & Partners.
