Alizberg (colloquially: "Uledsberch") is a district of the town of Langenzenn in the central Franconian district of Fürth .

geography

The hamlet is on a hillside north of the Zenn . In the west there is the deep valley, in the northeast the forest area Hart. Two municipal roads lead to Langenzenn: the Tieftalweg leads to the district road FÜ 11 (1 km southwest) and the Wasenmühlweg leads to the district road FÜ 17 (0.9 km south).

history

Approx. In 1370 it was mentioned in a document that there was a " Hub am Alersberg". In 1535 the place was mentioned as "Aletzbergkh", in 1540 as "Alizberg". The place name is derived from an identical field name, the defining word of which is the Old High German "albari" (= alder ).

At the end of the 18th century Alizberg belonged to the municipality of Langenzenn. There was an estate. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach city bailiff Langenzenn . The court had the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste office Cadolzburg as landlord .

As part of the community edict, Alizberg was assigned to the Langenzenn tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the municipality of Langenzenn, which was formed in the same year.

The place has been predominantly Evangelical-Lutheran since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish in the Evangelical Lutheran parish church (Langenzenn) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination to St. Marien (Langenzenn) .
