Erlachskirchen (colloquially: "Eleʳskirchn") is a district of the town of Langenzenn in the Middle Franconian district of Fürth .

geography

The hamlet lies on the Erlach ( called Fembach in the lower reaches ), a left tributary of the Zenn . The Langlänge corridor area borders in the south and the Mauerfeld in the west. Approx. The forest area Im Gemeindeholz lies 0.5 km to the southwest. A residential path leads to a communal road (0.3 km to the west), which leads directly into the federal highway 8 or after Langenzenn to the district road FÜ 11 (3 km south-east).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1414 as "Erlach" when the Nuremberg citizen Gerhardt Zolner sold his farm in the village to the Langenzenn monastery . The place name is derived from a field name of the same name, which is based on the Middle High German word “erla” (= alder ) with the collective suffix “-ach” and therefore means alder forest.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were five properties in Erlachskirchen with the Erlachsmühle . The high court exercised partly the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Fraischvogteiamt Emskirchen-Hagenbüchach , partly the Brandenburg-Ansbach Stadtvogteiamt Langenzenn . The village and township government had the steward Langenzenn held. The landlords were the monastery office Münchaurach (a mill), the monastery office Langenzenn (three quarter yards) and the Würzburg administration office Burgbernheim (1 quarter yard).

As part of the parish edict, Erlachskirchen was partially assigned to the Laubendorf tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Laubendorf formed in the same year . The other part was assigned to the Hagenbüchach tax district in 1811 and the Hagenbüchach rural community in 1813. This was changed into the newly founded rural community of Bräuersdorf with the second community edict (1818) and was finally handed over to the tax district and rural community Laubendorf in 1824.

On July 1, 1972 Erlachskirchen was incorporated into Langenzenn as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
