geography
The village is located on the Dürrnfarrnbach, which flows into the Farrnbach near Keidenzell with the Kirchfarrnbach . The Klingenfeld borders in the north and the Heidfeld in the southeast. The district road FÜ 18 leads to Kirchfarrnbach (1.6 km south) or to Meiersberg (1.2 km north-west).
history
The place was mentioned for the first time in 1233 in a document in which the purchase of goods by a Eichstätter canon for the Heilsbronn monastery was confirmed. The place name is derived from the name of the water body, the defining word of which is either fern or bullock and refers to a corresponding characteristic of the stream. In 1333 the place was first mentioned as "Dürren Farnbach". The monastery acquired four properties in total.
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties in Dürrnfarrnbach. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Cadolzburg . The Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach exercised a limited extent over the Bayreuth subjects . The village and community rulership was held by the Neuhof caste office in Brandenburg-Bayreuth . The landlords were the Neuhof caste office (5 courtyards, 1 estate, 1 shepherd's house) and the state charity office of the imperial city of Nuremberg and the Nuremberg owner von Haller together (1 estate).
As part of the community edict, Dürrnfarrnbach was assigned to the Unterschlauersbach tax district formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community of Kirchfarrnbach , which was founded in the same year .
With the regional reform in Bavaria , Dürrnfarrnbach was incorporated into Wilhermsdorf on January 1, 1978.
